Prof Edmund Sim currently works at the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology, University Malaysia Sarawak. Edmund does research in Molecular Biology, Medical Genetics and Cancer Genetics. His current project is 'Delineating the molecular pathway mediated by ribosomal proteins associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma', and 'Constructing the biomedical profile of nasopharyngeal cancer based on biomolecular, demographic and clinico-pathologic information'.
