Dr. Chai Chau Chung is a Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist and Senior Medical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Rehabilitation Medicine (MRehabMed) from the University of Malaya (UM). He completed fellowship training in neurorehabilitation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation in Taiwan. He is also a Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA), accredited by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). He currently heads the Rehabilitation Research Cluster at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS, and is actively involved in establishing a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center at the new UNIMAS Teaching Hospital. As project leader in healthcare innovation, he was awarded the gold medal award at the international innovation technology exposition. He is actively engaged in advancing rehabilitation strategies to deliver effective, holistic, and patient-centered rehabilitation care for individuals with disabilities.
