Mr. Ong is an accomplished counsellor with a distinctive background bridging engineering and mental health. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK, and began his career in the semiconductor industry, where he accumulated over 15 years of experience and advanced to the position of partner.

Following a period of personal reflection prompted by burnout and fertility challenges, Mr. Ong transitioned to a more purposeful career path by pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling from HELP University, Malaysia. He is currently a registered and licensed counsellor in Malaysia.

Having personally navigated fertility challenges, Mr. Ong identified a significant gap in emotional support for individuals and couples facing infertility. This insight fueled his passion for providing comprehensive emotional care to those on their fertility journey, empowering them to achieve emotional well-being and a fulfilling life.

Since the inception of Sunfert Fertility Centre in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, over a decade ago, Mr. Ong has served as the Lead Counsellor for the Sunfert Fertility Group of Companies. In this role, he has provided essential guidance and emotional support to countless individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments.

Mr. Ong is a member of the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand and is recognized for his compassionate approach and dedication to integrating mental health support within reproductive medicine.
